ClearView Webs

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

ClearView Webs is an Australian web design business. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are

ClearView Webs builds and maintains websites and manages online advertising for Australian businesses. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean ClearView Webs.

You can reach us about anything privacy related on +61 428 730 150 or admin@clearviewwebs.com.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to talk to you and do the work:

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Business details such as your business name, trading name and ABN.
  • What you send us about your project: messages, briefs, quotes you have received, and any words, photos, logos or other content you supply for your website.
  • Billing details needed for invoicing and our accounting records.
  • Website analytics: pages viewed, time on site, device and browser type, the site you came from, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health, biometric or political details), and we never collect your full card number — card payments are handled by our payment provider.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
  • To build, host and maintain your website, and to run your care plan.
  • To set up and manage Google and Meta ad campaigns if you ask us to.
  • To invoice you and keep the records the law requires us to keep.
  • To improve our own website and services, and to send you updates you have opted in to.

If we ever want to use your information for something new, we will tell you first.

How we store and protect it

Your information is held in our business systems and in the platforms we use to run the business. We use access controls so only people who need your information can see it, we keep software up to date, and we keep information only for as long as we need it or the law requires. No system is completely secure, but if a data breach happens that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run our business. They only receive what they need, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

  • Our website hosting and email providers.
  • Website analytics providers.
  • Google and Meta ad platforms, where you have engaged us to run ads for you.
  • Our payment provider and our accountant or bookkeeper.
  • Contractors and specialists who help us deliver your project, bound by confidentiality.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia (commonly the United States and the European Union). Where information goes overseas we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then work differently.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you have asked us to, and every one includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out by telling us at any time. We will still send you messages about work we are doing for you.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Just get in touch using the details above. There is no charge to make a request, though we may charge a reasonable cost for providing a copy. We aim to respond within 30 days, and in some limited cases the law allows us to refuse a request — if we do, we will explain why in writing.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can sort it out. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
